Billie Records 1,000th Kill
Mules 2-0 in Buttermaker

Senior Meaghan Billie became the third player in team history to reach the 1,000-kill mark for her career, leading Muhlenberg to sweeps of Misericordia and SUNY Farmingdale on the first day of the Buttermaker Tournament.

The Mules (3-4) and King’s were the only two schools to go 2-0 on the first day of the tourney. They will square off against each other on Saturday at 9:00.

Billie needed 13 kills to reach the milestone and got 14 in the Misericordia match. Freshman Julie Lauro added 13 kills.

Both Billie and Lauro also put up big numbers against Farmingdale. Billie had 10 kills, increasing her career total of 1,011, with no errors in 17 attempts. She recorded kills on seven consecutive hits to close out the match. Lauro posted a career-high 15 kills with only one error in 20 attempts and added nine digs, five aces and four blocks.

Muhlenberg set a school record with a .463 hitting percentage against Farmingdale.
