Two of the four seniors on the Muhlenberg softball team were named to the All-Centennial Conference team.

Shortstop Tina Roth was a second-team selection, and centerfielder Hilary Marinchak earned honorable mention. It was the first All-CC nod for both.

Tina Roth Roth (left) hit .280 for the Mules in 2007 and tied for second on the team with 11 RBI. In CC games, she batted a team-best .346 with five RBI. Roth had three three-hit games, in the nightcaps of doubleheaders against Franklin & Marshall, Washington and McDaniel. She also drove in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth to beat CC regular-season champion Ursinus.

Marinchak, who scored the winning run in the Ursinus game, led Muhlenberg in batting average (.291), hits (30), runs (21), triples (2) and stolen bases (15). She was a .333 hitter in CC play.

Two players named Kyle are the first members of the Muhlenberg men’s lacrosse program to earn All-Centennial Conference honors twice in their careers.

Senior Kyle Hart, who received second-team honors in 2005, was named to the second team as a longstick midfielder, and junior midfielder Kyle Farris received honorable mention for the second year in a row.

Kyle Hart Hart (right) led the Mules with 39 ground balls and finished his career as the team’s all-time leader with 173. Hart also contributed to the offense with a pair of assists as a senior and ended up with career totals of seven goals and four assists.

Farris led Muhlenberg and ranked ninth in the CC with 20 goals in 11 games. He will begin his senior season 12 goals away from the team’s career record of 77.
