Junior Aaron Holden recorded his first career double-double with 13 points and a career-high 10 rebounds as the Muhlenberg men’s basketball team overcame an eight-point second-half to defeat Dickinson, 71-66, for its first Centennial Conference win of the season.

The Mules (4-3, 1-1) trailed, 40-32, early in the second half before going on an 18-2 run to take the lead for good. Senior Michael Barletta scored eight of his season-high 12 points during the surge, drilling two three-pointers, and senior Bill Cwieka, who also scored 12 in his first start of the season, added five.

Dickinson (1-7, 0-2) closed to within four points, at 56-52, with fewer than seven minutes remaining, but senior Mark Lesko, sidelined with foul trouble most of the game, hit a three-pointer to widen the margin to seven.

Lesko finished with 12 points to extend his streak of scoring in double figures to 30 games. Junior Toomey Anderson scored 10 to give Muhlenberg five players in double figures.

The Mules, who have off until the Dec. 21-22 Muskingum Holiday Tournament, held the Red Devils to 30-percent shooting in the second half while shooting 60.9 percent themselves.
