Muhlenberg senior Joshua Carter has been selected to the Hewlett-Packard Division III All-America Football Team for the third straight year.

Carter was a third-team selection as a kick returner after averaging 24.1 Joshua Carter yards on kickoff returns and 12.7 yards on punt returns. During the season, he became the all-time Division III leader in yards on kickoff returns (2,189) and punt returns (1,550). A wide receiver, Carter also ranked among the Division III leaders with 160.4 all-purpose yards per game.

Already the first player in team history to earn All-America honors twice (he was a first-team selection each of the last two seasons), Carter is the first Muhlenberg athlete in any sport to be a three-time All-American. He also made the All-Centennial Conference first team and the ECAC All-Star Team three times and was the program’s first CC player of the year in 2000.

The 24th annual Hewlett-Packard All-America team was selected by a panel of 30 sports information directors representing the four playoff regions in Division III.
