Evan Smallwood
Smallwood’s selection gives the Mules an All-American and an Academic All-American (fellow senior Justin Henning) in the same season for only the second time.
Senior Evan Smallwood of the Muhlenberg men’s soccer team has been named to the Division III All-America second team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Honored as a defender, Smallwood played both back and central midfield in 2003 and led the Mules with 31 points on 11 goals and nine assists. He was the top player on a Muhlenberg team that went 17-5-1, won the Centennial Conference championship, advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and received votes for the final Division III top 25.

Smallwood, also a first-team All-CC and first-team all-region selection, finished his four-year career with 17 goals and 17 assists.

Smallwood is the eighth All-American in Muhlenberg men’s soccer history, and the first since 1995:
