BRADER FEATURED IN SPORTS ILLUSTRATED
Muhlenberg senior running back Jason Brader is
featured in the "Faces in the Crowd" section of the Dec. 7 issue
of Sports Illustrated. Brader rushed for 1,278 yards in 10 games
this past season and broke the Mules' career rushing record in only two
seasons.

Tuesday, December 1
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Muhlenberg 69, Haverford 42.
Muhlenberg used strong second-half defense to pull away for a Centennial
Conference win and guarantee at least a share of first place in the CC
East until January 13. In defeating Haverford for the 15th straight time,
the Mules held the visitors to 17 points and 19-percent shooting in the
second half. It was the 23rd time in the last 47 CC games that Muhlenberg
kept an opponent to 50 points or fewer. The three seniors on the team all
scored in double figures, SARAH CLARKE and JILL ROTH with 14 apiece and
AMANDA WATERBURY with 13. Waterbury added 11 rebounds for her second
straight double-double. Freshman LINDSAY ST. LAWRENCE scored a

Wednesday, December 2
MEN'S BASKETBALL Muhlenberg 65, University of the
Sciences 62. A three-pointer by junior CHRIS KENNY was the big basket as
Muhlenberg staged a stirring comeback to nip University of the Sciences,
previously known as Philadelphia Pharmacy and previously undefeated. The
Mules trailed by 10 points with fewer than five minutes remaining, but
closed out with an 18-5 run. Junior MARK MORRISON scored nine of the
points, senior JIM DOUMATO had six, and the other three, off the left
hand of Kenny, gave Muhlenberg the lead for good, 59-57 with 1:22 left.
Doumato recorded his third double-double in four games with 16 points
(all in the second half) and 13 rebounds. Junior MATT SCHNEIDER also
scored 16 and Morrison finished with 12. The Mules made 19 of their 21

Saturday, December 5
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Elmira 57, Muhlenberg 55.
Muhlenberg put up a good battle on the road against Elmira, a team that
was in the NCAA round of 16 last year, but fell short by two points.
The Mules came back from a seven-point deficit with an 8-0 run down the
stretch, taking a 49-48 lead on a basket by sophomore JESSICA DRENNAN
with 6:40 to play, but the Soaring Eagles regained the lead and held it.
Drennan led Muhlenberg with 17 points and seven rebounds, while senior
AMANDA WATERBURY had 15 points and seven boards. Click here for box score.
MEN'S BASKETBALL Gettyburg 73, Muhlenberg 58.
Gettysburg closed out the first half on a 15-5 run and never led the lead
slip under 10 points to spoil the defending champ Mules' Centennial
Conference opener. Junior CHRIS KENNY led Muhlenberg with 12 points,
junior ERIC NOTHSTEIN scored 11, and junior MATT SCHNEIDER pulled down a
career-high 10 rebounds. Click here for

WRESTLING finished 12th out of 19 teams at Lebanon
Valley Petrofes Invitational. Two freshmen, BILL HOLSINGER (141) and
ANDY FAUST (149), recorded third-place finishes to lead the Mules at
Lebanon Valley. Holsinger, seeded sixth, won five of his six matches,
including a pin of the fourth seed in the consolation semifinal. He
then pinned Mt. Union's Sam Demmerling for the second time in the
final. Faust did it the hard way, losing his first-round bout before
sweeping through six bouts in the consolation bracket. The fourth seed,
he was aided by three straight medical forfeits and decisioned Josh
Chamberlin of Washington & Lee in the third-place match. Freshman
heavyweight GAVIN ENCK, who was unseeded, defeated the eighth seed in the
first round, then lost a 2-1 decision to the top seed in the second round. Click here for complete results.
